This is the perfect option for a woman on-the-go.
More often than not, after a 9 hour day at the office, my feet are not in the mood to carry on for another 2 hours (in high heels) while I run to the grocery store..
Pumps aren't the most practical option in the world and for the most part, flats have a bad habit of turning the best outfit into rubbish.. But how to dress for work AND still be comfortable?
Attire:
This outfit is the perfect interpretation of low-key fabulous. The denim blouse doesn't attract too much attention and the black belted trousers compliment the look. This ensemble can be worn with either flats or heels. However, the thing you need to remember about flats, is that if they're not the perfect fit or if they are too embellished, they can make the whole getup look cheap.. The key to keep from looking like you crawled out of bed and left the house in your pj's is to make sure that EVERY piece fits like a glove. Slouchy items are NOT on the menu in this case.
Make Up:
I'm a huge fan of 'invisible make up' and especially in this case, less is more.
- a light brush of powder and a bit of concealer under the eyes
- matte beige eyeshadow matched with a grey or brown liner
- two coats of black mascara
- lilac lip gloss to finish the look
