Falling Into The Dawn

I just finished my very first painting today and decided to post a few products for sale on zazzle.com

I've always been the creative type in regards to home decor and fashion, but up until the tail end of last week, I had never really tried my hand at artistic creativity. I'm glad I did. Painting and drawing gives me an overwhelming feeling of calm no matter what is going on in my life. I've found that I'm curiously drawn to dark surrealism and abstract pieces. Which is perfect for me because I am far from perfect and the flaws in my brush strokes only make my work look better. I apologize to anyone if I'm coming off a little conceited, but I'm really proud of myself. I've found something, outside of my 9-5, that I'm really very good at. And it feels great!

I call this piece "Falling Into The Dawn"

Dawn is the moment shortly before sunrise. It is the first sign of a brand new day. It is another chance to make life worth living regardless of the stresses and misfortunes ahead. In other words, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming swimming swimming ♪ ♬

Playing dress-up has never looked so bad-ass! To pull of the leopard print jacket without looking like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show, you have to play down the rest of the ensemble with studded accents, black hues, and gold accessories help achieve a more girly vibe. 

Make up:

If it were up to me I'd stick with blush and black liner for this look. You want the focus to remain with the leopard print top .. Don't be too distracting with bold red lips and fake lashes..

a little rough around the edges

Every girl has an edge to her. How she expresses that, is entirely up to her! No woman is created equal! We all have our own sense of style, our own shape, skin tone, hair color, etc... This is a look that is extremely universal and can be achieved by anyone!

Attire:

The key to this ensemble is to keep clothing simple with beautiful earth tones and to accentuate the set with black accessories. Chose two basic pieces as your canvas: Here I have a beige dolman top matched with a pair of distressed jean shorts. THEN! Throw in your dark edgy items to liven things up a bit! Finally, top it all off with gold or bronze jewelry. To avoid looking costume-y, keep the bling-ed body parts as far away from each other as possible. For example, wrist & ears OR neck & wrist! It's never a good idea to have too much hardware all in one spot.

Make Up:
